The Tara · Bellaire, Michigan

Two wheels, every trail.

Glacial Hills Pathway and Shanty Creek's Schuss Mountain put more than 60 miles of singletrack within a 15-minute drive of The Tara — or stay in the village for the Bellaire Village Walking Path, one of the town's best-kept secrets on foot or by e-bike.

Rolling hills, glacier-carved.

The terrain around Bellaire was shaped by retreating glaciers, which is why the trails climb and drop the way they do. Glacial Hills Pathway is the region's dedicated mountain bike and hiking network; Shanty Creek's Schuss Mountain adds another 30-plus miles on resort grounds. The Tara doesn't rent bikes — bring your own, or ask us for the nearest shop.
